This nocturnal predator is equipped with fearsome looking, spiked pedipalps, but it can neither bite nor sting, and their claw-like spikes cannot penetrate the skin. They feed on crickets, katydids and other arthropods. The first pair of legs are very thin and can be up to 20cm long and are used as antennae.
